One of the prettiest Teles we've ever had here, at Guitar Garage London! Unique combination of a very old-school 62 style Telecaster Custom with a modern feel maple neck and vintage pickups and hardware!
The neck comes from a very recent American Standard Telecaster and has an awesome feel and playability thanks to the gloss lacquer on the fretboard (bending is so easy) and satin lacquer on the back (non-sticky). Medium jumbo frets are in new condition, the only wear on the neck is near the string tree. There are additional holes on the back of the headstock from vintage style tuners, that the previous owner had on and some lacquer checking on the front.
Made in Japan body refinished in vintage nitro-cellulose Ocean Turquoise (meant to emulate very old Lake Placid Blue) has a bit more surface wear, main scratches are on the back. Binding has aged into a lovely cream white and has some imperfections here and there. Alder body has a very balanced weight and stunning natural resonance thanks to the thin nitro finish. Aged mint green scratchplate matches the overall look very nicely. Tonal palette is provided by a custom handmade in London Alnico V neck pickup and Broadcaster flatpole bridge pickup. Thanks to the opposite polarity of the pickups, the middle position is hum-cancelling. Nice twang of the bridge combined with the depth of the neck pickup give a truly awesome balance. Nice range via the Volume and Tone knobs as well.
Classic Fender "Pat Pend" bridge has been enhanced by brass saddles, that warm up the tone a bit and also provide with spot-on intonation thanks to their compensated design.
This instrument received a full professional setup with deep body clean, body polish, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with Fender 10-46 Nickel-plated steel strings.
Please note that although we put our heart and soul and also all our knowledge into every single guitar we sell (over 250 guitars sold), a setup is a personal preference and we cannot give any guarantees. However, we try to get the best playability out of every guitar and set them up so you can play both rhythm and lead. We also pull them all apart to clean and check every single component and replace all unreliable parts with new ones, from dodgy pots to the whole wiring, tuners, string trees, nuts and etc. All the work done is described in detail in the listing.
We make sure that every guitar we sell is problem free and take full responsibility for the accuracy of our listing descriptions. All photographs are done by a professional photographer and processed on a calibrated monitor. Some colours might look slightly different on your monitor, but we will always put the official Fender colour name in the listing description, so please study pictures of other guitars with the same colour if you are unsure. We focus on finding great quality guitars and making them reliable and inspiring to play.
This guitar will be shipped around UK and EU with Parcelforce courier, safely packed into a sturdy guitar cardboard box. 24h courier service provided for UK customers. Worldwide shipping provided as well!
