Up for sale, a 1970 Plush Amps Royal 1060-S tube amplifier head in excellent condition and perfect working order. Built from 1968-1972, Plush Amps were built by hand, first in New York and later in California, and specialized in building great sounding, reliable amplifiers. Plush has developed a cult following among musicians who appreciate great value and the quirky naugahyde aesthetics. Delivering a distinctly British high gain tone, the 1060-S pushes roughly 100 watts via a quad of 6L6 Tube Amp Doctor power tubes and five 12AX7 preamp tubes. Capturing a roaring, saturated, and dynamic sound even at low volumes, this amp has an incredibly touch sensitive and nuanced breakup. While the amp doesn't have much in the clean headroom department, rolling off your guitar's volume knob can achieve a very useable and full clean tone that retains warmth and detail. If you're looking for an iconic, saturated tube amp tone that keeps up with your favorite JMP and doesn't need an attenuator to hit that tipping point of sweet tube saturation at club-friendly volumes, the Plush Royal 1060-S is an excellent choice.

A dual channel affair, this amp boasts both a Bass and a Normal channel with dual inputs, Volume, Bass, Middle, and Treble knobs for each, as well as a Deep switch for Bass, and a Bright switch for the Normal channel. The back panel sports 1/4" Main and External speaker outs, as well as a line out jack and dual Slave outs as part of the "Slave/Multiplex" feature, allowing you to connect extra Plush amps for extra power while controlling the volume and EQ from the "Master" amp. The amp is loaded with a quad of matched Tube Amp Doctor 6L6s which are properly biased and have years of life left.

This amp is in great cosmetic shape, with only a few minor scuffs and tiny tears along the bottom edges of the head from light, honest use. The faceplate shows sparingly little wear as well, with clean text and original knobs. This amp represents an amazing value for a high power vintage tube amplifier, and would look and sound fantastic in any stage rig!
