Dead Mint Condition
I don't know how many of these were built, but it can't be too many. This is the first one I've seen in person and I couldn't find another one for sale anywhere. The condition is awesome and it has the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity from the custom shop. The top has been stripped bare like Mick's own guitar and has the mismatched knobs as well. Mick stripped the top finish off his custom allegedly at the advice of another guitarist who told him it "improve the tone". He also removed the pickup covers which is emulated in the design of this tribute model allowing the double black bobbins to be visible. Gibson did a hell of a job with this one - it's a great start to finding that insane "Ronson tone" that was made most famous by his work with David Bowie during the "Spiders From Mars" period.
