For sale we have the first John Mayer Two-Rock Signature prototype. It was the first amplifier made by Two-Rock specifically for John Mayer in an effort to create an amp specifically to his liking and to his sound. There are a lot of fake prototype John Mayer Signature amps out there, but this one is the real deal. Road cases and all. Even video evidence.

On the back of the amp, it says "01 Mayer Tour Proto" to show that it is the first prototype built for John before his signature amps were made, and John even used it for numerous performances, including the attached Youtube clip of John playing "Gravity" on Letterman in 2007. It also had the letters "JM" and "PT 01" stamped into the amp for "John Mayer" and "Prototype 01." John also used the white sticky device on the back to hold an extra fuse, in case the one inside the amp blew.

The front of the amp shows that Two-Rock built the original prototypes (I believe there are 3 total, I know of the whereabouts of 2 of them including this one) in Custom Reverb Signature chassis. On the front of the amp, you can see the red marks John put to show where he liked his settings for this specific amp. There were obvious modifications made to the original Custom Reverb Amp for this amp, having some of the knobs no present, or replacing some of the words with stickered words.

The amp itself is in amazing condition, it hasn't been modified since it left John's possession. It comes with the road cases for both the amp head and the cabinet, featuring "John Mayer Musical Sound."

The cabinet has a great story of it's own. You can see that John previously used it in Youtube clips with the John Mayer Trio, and he used it with his Dumble ODS rather than with this amp. According to the person I received this amp from, "Angry" was written inside the cabinet, because John requested that Two-Rock make him an amp that sounded "Angry," which would fit with a lot of his trio playing.

The amp and cabinet are in perfect working condition. Normal John Mayer Two-Rock Signatures go for $20k+ and weren't even played by John. This amp will allow you to play an amp that John actually used, not just to tweak and see how he liked the sound, but one he actually used in performances.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
