National Triolian 1929

Here is a beautiful looking and sounding National Triolian wood-body resonator guitar from 1929, as indicated by the serial number of 1540. Besides some slight neck wear and a few modest dings here and there, this guitar is in great cosmetic condition for its age, and plays perfectly. Somewhere along the line, a high nut was installed to allow for strictly slide use, but it can be replaced with a normal nut at your will. Everything else is original except the tailpiece, which is a brand new Tyler Mountain Resophonic to replace the original broken tailpiece included with the guitar. Also included are the original battered but still functioning hard shell case, an old yarn strap, a vintage set of National fingerpicks, a vintage metal Waverly slide, and a tag from the original owner of the guitar. 

There is no National logo on the headstock but upon contacting National Guitars with a description and pictures, they identified and authenticated it as a genuine early wood-body National Triolian guitar. They said the lack of a logo may be due to how early it is, or because it may have been a prototype of sorts. I can provide screenshots of the emails upon request.
