This is a Lucid ADA8824 Discrete 8 channel, 24 bit, AD/DA converter.
Second owner, I purchased in 2009-2010.
Mint operating condition + very good cosmetic condition - there are a few very small scratches on top panel + multiple scratches on bottom panel. No scratches on faceplate
- Connects via Lightpipe (8 channel ADAT optical, 24/48 max), AES, SP/DIF - see pics, comprehensive I/O
- Word clock in/out.
Currently set to operate 24bit/48kHz, other configs accessible on rear panel via dip switches.
This is a great sounding pro quality workhorse converter. I bought it after reading that Chuck Ainlay bought 3 of these boxes when he first transitioned from tape in the mid to late 2000s. It's working great but the new Avid interface covers my converter needs
