Handy as the name suggests, the Zoom H5 Handy Recorder is an uber versatile field recorder with four tracks and a myriad of swappable mic capsules, though it comes stock with an XY pair. Onboard effects give you the chance to edit your audio on the go, with the ability to compress, limit, filter, loop, and more right on the H5 itself. The Zoom H5 even comes with an incredible pre-record feature for those unexpected recordings using a 2-second buffer that runs even before you hit record, as well as a backup recording function that will stop transients right in their tracks.
