The Wurlitzer 206A is a console-style electric piano based on the same action, reed assembly, and amplifier platform as the legendary Wurlitzer 200 series. Originally developed for educational environments, the 206 delivers the same unmistakable electromechanical Wurlitzer tone in a larger cabinet format with integrated speakers and furniture-style construction.
Unlike portable Wurlitzer models, the 206 was designed as a stationary instrument, making it particularly well suited to studio, songwriting, and home use. The larger cabinet provides space for larger onboard speakers, contributing to its distinctive sound and strong low-end response.
This example has been fitted with the Vintage Vibe 206 Vibrato & Aux Kit, adding two features not found on the original factory specification:
- Vibrato
- Auxiliary line output
These upgrades bring the functionality much closer to a Wurlitzer 200A while retaining the unique character of the 206 platform.
The mechanical design, action, reeds, and servicing requirements remain largely identical to the Wurlitzer 200 series, making maintenance straightforward and ensuring compatibility with many commonly available replacement parts.

There is a tear in the speaker tweed. This is a more cosmetic damage, the speakers are still intact & functioning perfectly.
Modifications
The headphone jack has been moved from the main control panel to the underside of the bass keys.
