About this listing
Schecter Stiletto Studio-8 Electric Bass in Honey Satin
The Stiletto Studio-8 delivers a compact, comfortable playing experience across its extended 8-string range, with a thin 'C' neck profile and 34" scale that feel familiar to traditional bass players while opening up lower frequencies and creative tuning options. Neck-thru construction with Ultra Access design ensures effortless reach to the upper frets, and the satin finish across the Mahogany body with Bubinga top resists fingerprints while maintaining a professional appearance. This is serious professional equipment built for players who demand extended range without sacrificing ergonomic playability.
Playability & Construction
The maple/walnut multi-ply neck with rosewood fretboard and abalone offset dot inlays supports 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 16" radius, providing fast, accurate positioning and smooth bends. At the 1st fret the neck measures .787" thick, tapering to .866" at the 12th fret—a balanced profile that minimizes fatigue during extended playing sessions. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (1.574" width) and 2-way adjustable truss rod with 5/32" Allen nut ensure stable tuning and precise action adjustment.
Electronics & Tone
Dual EMG 35HZ pickups paired with master volume, blend, and 3-band active EQ deliver aggressive, articulate tone with broad shaping capability across the frequency spectrum. The 18-volt battery compartment with screw plate provides consistent headroom and dynamic response across all eight strings, while the Diamond Custom Bass bridge with satin gold hardware maintains clean sustain and reliable intonation across the extended range.
