The Revival of an '80s Cult Classic Japanese Shred Machine
The Guitar Sanctuary is proud to feature the Ibanez Genesis Collection 540PIII in sleek Black. Unavailable for over 30 years, this legendary Japanese-built reissue brings back the radical reverse body style and headstock of the iconic late-'80s Power Series (540PII)—a model revered by technical guitarists and made famous by shred virtuoso Alex Skolnick. Crafted in Japan with extreme precision, the 540PIII delivers true golden-era Ibanez performance for modern rock and metal players who demand speed, tone, and unmistakable style.
Built around a resonant, lightweight basswood body, the 540PIII provides a balanced, punchy frequency response that cuts cleanly through heavy mixes. The ultra-thin 5-piece Maple/Walnut Super Wizard neck paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets ensures frictionless upper-fret access, lightning-fast lead runs, and effortless string bends.
Versatile Pickups & Rock-Solid Hardware
Driven by an Infinity R ceramic neck humbucker (in a single-coil-sized footprint to preserve neck position warmth) and a high-output V8 Alnico bridge humbucker, this instrument handles everything from pristine cleans to searing high-gain leads without losing note definition. Anchored by the original masterpiece Ibanez Edge locking tremolo bridge and precision Gotoh machine heads, you get absolute pitch stability during deep dive-bombs and aggressive squeals.
