Overview
This first run of the natural finish Southern Jumbo hit the Gibson catalog in 1954 before being quickly renamed to the "Country Western" in an attempt to differentiate itself from its Sunburst sibling. These two years are the only ones in which an SJN / Country Western was offered with the original 19-fret neck.
