Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean Gibson J-160E John Lennon Peace model Jumbo acoustic electric. This is one of only 750 ever made in the Gibson Montana factory and includes the COA and original case. This is not only rare, but has to be one of the best sounding J-160's we've had. It has that early Beatles tone and great playability. 24.75" scale, 12" radius, 4.94 lbs. It's Gibson's P-100 hum cancelling pickups that delivers the P-90 tonality without the noise. The action is very low at 2mm-1.5mm and it plays cleanly up and down the fretboard. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.75", neck depth is .81"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great medium C profile. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There is a professionally repaired and cleated top crack under the pickguard and a repaired cracked brace. Everything is solid. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
