Billy Corgan Says No More Fender or Gibson Signature Models After Feuds with Both

The Fender Billy Corgan Signature Strat was in production from 2008-2012, but was then discontinued, with no signs of the company taking it back up.

As part of a recent Instagram Story Q&A (first reported on by Alternative Nation), Billy Corgan talked briefly about his non-working relationships with both Fender and Gibson.

Asked by a fan if he'd consider working with the company again, Corgan said, "Never. They disrespected me and I would never go back." Pressed to explain, he said, "Too petty to get into."

But Fender's not the only company Corgan is beefing with. He also said, "Gibson also blew me off so I'll play them, but I won't work with them. Want them to survive though."

However, his signature Reverend BC1, released in 2016, has received quite a few accolades. One owner complimented him on the model and then asked if he'd consider making a multi-effects unit, to which Corgan responded, "Discussing with Yamaha Guitars now." (He already has a Yamaha acoustic signature model, the LJ16BC).

Despite all his rage, there's hope for more Corgan signatures yet.
