With this pedal in your chain, a quick glance tells you immediately whether signal is present at that point in your rig.

Suggested placement:

• Right after your instrument – monitor your raw guitar signal
• End of your effects chain – confirm signal leaving your board (my personal favorite use)

Adjustable Sensitivity: 

• Inside the pedal is a 25-turn trim potentiometer that allows you to adjust meter sensitivity.
• Clockwise = more sensitive (lower signal levels)
• Counterclockwise = less sensitive (higher signal levels)
• Range: ~30mV - 1.25V pk-pk

This VU Meter pedal is tuned so 0dB corresponds to roughly a 150mV guitar signal, which works great for a typical dry, non-boosted guitar output. It gives you a quick visual reference of your signal level while playing.

This is not a precision measurement device. The Bane VU Meter has been optimized for guitar dynamics rather than broadcast metering. It's designed to be a practical, always-on utility pedal that lets you see what your signal is doing in real time with no tonal changes or signal loss.
