From 2008 to 2019, Les Pauls were produced as Standard and Traditional models. They were popular as the flagship model of the regular lineup.

This particular instrument is based on the Traditional model, incorporating classic Les Paul design specifications, a slim, asymmetrical neck shape, a compound radius fingerboard, and a chambered (lightweight) body construction, all designed for enhanced playability.

The finish is a satin desert burst, a matte, sophisticated color. The burst finish on the rim is also distinctive.

The specifications are, of course, classic: maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.

The pickups, crucial to the sound, are Tradbucker pickups.

The neck position humbucker is underwound, producing a soft, warm sound, while the bridge pickup is overwound for a higher output. Both use Alnico V magnets, resulting in a clear, powerful sound.

Furthermore, the pickups feature coil tapping, splitting, and phase control, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping.

A DIP switch in the control cavity selects between coil splitting and coil tapping modes. In coil splitting mode, the treble tone push/pull switches between inner and outer coils, and the rhythm tone push/pull acts as a phase switch.

This is a fantastic Les Paul that blends the old and the new.
