Conn Vintage One Bb Trumpet - Silver / Lacquer

The Vintage One Bb combines the best of the classic C.G. Conn trumpets with a modern design. .459" (11.66mm) bore, one-piece hand-hammered yellow brass bell, 34 leadpipe, and monel pistons. Includes 2 tuning slides, Modular Valve Weight (MVW) system kit, heavy weight Harrelson top caps & buttons and a single protec case.

The body of this trumpet has a satin application appled, the inner bell and slides are still shiny.  Pics and the video best illustrate this trumpet.  

There is some surface scratching from use and evidence of previous bell repairs evidenced by some pings down the bell.  There are also 3 small bumps on the leadpipe that could either be from improper prepping before lacquer of the start of redrot – overall the leadpipe looks very clean and I do not see any leakage.  Compression is good.  May be something that needs to be addressed years down the road. 

The horn has great tone and is a stellar player – only reason I am selling is that it is my heaviest horn – coming it at 1163 grams with its lightest potential set up and I am finding it a bit heavy.  All of my other horns are super light.

Vales are smooth and fast.  Occasionally I get the odd hang due to improper finger positioning – I often have that happen with me on more vintage horns as I do not have a perfect hand position.  Both Jon – video attached and another friend both played the horn extensively before shipping up to me and both though that the valves were excellent.
