The Demeter VTDB-2B Tube Direct Box is a high-end, single-channel DI (Direct Input) box designed for professional audio applications. Widely regarded as the "DI of choice" by studios, engineers, and artists, it delivers a clear, warm sound thanks to its tube-based circuitry, making it ideal for capturing the true tonal character of instruments without coloration. It features a 12AX7A vacuum tube and a Jensen DBE output transformer, ensuring high-fidelity signal conversion.

1/4" input: High-impedance (27 MΩ) for optimal matching with instrument pickups XLR balanced output: 150 Ω, suitable for mic preamps on mixing consoles 1/4" buffered thru output: Maintains signal integrity for driving amplifiers or effects chains over long cable runs

Boost switch: Increases output by up to 16 dB (reported as 15 dB on some sources), useful for weak signals like piezo pickups Ground lift switch: Eliminates ground-loop hum in live or studio setups Balanced level output: -20.1 dB (unity), -4.2 dB (boost mode)

Bandwidth: 10 Hz – 40 kHz (±0.5 dB in unity mode) Distortion/Noise: As low as 0.04% at unity gain Headroom: Exceptionally high, preventing signal clipping even with dynamic playing
