The Luxman MB-88 Ultimate is an extremely rare and valuable monaural tube power amplifier produced in limited quantities in the 1980s by the long-established Japanese audio manufacturer LUXMAN. The MB-88 Ultimate is based on the MB-88, which was produced using the best of the technology of the time, but with even greater attention to sound quality and design, and was introduced as the “Ultimate” version. The MB-88 Ultimate is equipped with two GE KT88 tubes with a maximum output power of 85 watts, providing ample power, rich mid-low range, and extended high-frequency expression. The circuit design employs a unique “multi-NFB method” combining cathode NFB (negative feedback) and major NFB to provide low distortion and stable sound.
