The eagerly awaited reissue of the coveted limited edition 50-watt amplifier. In 2005, Ken Fischer redesigned the Komet® 60 circuit for a more aggressive and modern rock sound with higher gain. It was a limited edition of 30 custom-made hardwood cabinets made from African bubinga and flamed maple panels. This limited edition sold out immediately, but demand for the exhilarating sound continued – and can now be heard in the Komet® Concorde. It features the same circuitry as the limited edition, along with Ken Fischer's specially designed power and output transformers.

The control panel on the front of the Concorde is simple and intuitive. Volume is followed by a standard 3-band EQ, a presence control, and a high-cut control. The high-cut control works in the power section of the amplifier, allowing the user to darken and shape the overall sound of the amplifier without affecting the EQ of the preamp section. This solves the common problem of loss of gain and clarity when the treble control is turned back on the preamp.

In addition to higher gain, other distinguishing features compared to the Komet® 60 include a circuit designed exclusively for use with EL34 power tubes, solid-state rectification for faster and more powerful response, and a tighter and more modern-sounding low end. Expect rich, complex overtones, creamy rhythms, and singing leads—all enhanced by a well-focused EQ. The Concorde follows the Komet® tradition of creating an amplifier with a rich, balanced sound and unmatched musicality—including excellent touch sensitivity, note articulation, string separation, and dynamic response.

Pre-biasing your amp's power tubes is a breeze. All you need is a digital voltmeter with a mV (milli-volt) setting. The Komet® 60, HD, and Concorde all feature convenient bias connectors on the rear panel designed for quick bias adjustment. These bias connectors are operated in conjunction with the bias knob located on top of the cabinet.

The bias adjustment wheel is a precision wheel with 10 turns and a scale from 1 to 10. A brake lever locks the setting in place. The bias control system allows the user to easily adjust the bias of the amplifier between different sets of power tubes and to precisely select the bias of the power tube with a digital voltmeter.
