For sale is a robust wooden road case suitable for Otari MX5050B reel-to-reel tape recorders. I received it with an MX5050B-2HD, but it should work with the BII or BIII, and likely others. The internal dimensions (not including front and back covers) are 40 x 50.5 x 19.5 cm, and the machine is held into the case with included M4 screws; its side panels and feet must be removed before insertion.
Physically, the case very solid, and weighs about 8kg. Metal parts show minor corrosion that does not affect function. Note that the handles of this case are cadmium-plated; I have wrapped them with electrical tape and labeled them with sharpie (which could easily be cleaned off).
