Fender Eric Clapton Custom Shop Signature Stratocaster 2009

Built to Clapton's specs, the Custom Shop Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster® guitar features an alder body, special soft V-shaped maple neck, three Vintage Noiseless™ pickups, blocked tremolo and Clapton's signature on the headstock.

  This guitar is just beautiful, with a gorgeous flamed neck. The frets are still in great shape. Only a few string impressions. A couple small dings on the back to not be able to call this guitar mint, see the pictures. other than that, this guitar is just incredible, the TBX tone control gives the guitar quite a boost in volume as well as tone qualities not found in your standard Strat Guitars. The noiseless Lace Sensor Pickups are active. It uses a 9 Volt battery. Plays with effortless fingering with awesome low action that plays itself… Frets are in excellent original shape. Standard 25 1/2 inch scale neck and the nut measures just a little narrower than the standard strats at 1 5/8 inches. Just like Clapton likes! This guitar is already 13 years old… it certainly doesn’t look like it.

The guitar still has the original Whammy bar and bridge cover. The guitar came with a wood trem block fitted and 2 extra trem springs. Very simple to remove the block to use the trem.

The Eric Clapton Stratocaster is one of Fender's longest running and most popular signature models. Modeled after a late -'50s Strat, the Clapton Strat features upgraded active electronics. Originally, this Strat used Lace Sensor pickups, but a switch was made to Fender Noiseless pickups. Another unique feature is a blocked tremolo tailpiece made to Clapton's specification.

TBX Midrange Boost Circuit… 

The 25db Stratocaster Mid Boost Kit is an official Fender mod that comes pre-installed on the Eric Clapton signature Strat.

Here's what Fender says about the Stratocaster Mid Boost Circuit:

The Stratocaster with the Mid Boost Preamp are used on the Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy Strats. The system replaces one of the original tone controls with a variable “Midrange Boost” control. The Mid Boost knob adjusts gain from 0 dB (no boost) to 25 dB (for killer mids). Great for clean and distortion tones. The TBX tone control is neutral in the middle position, cuts treble in one direction and cuts bass in the other direction.

Comes with the shown Fender brochures that I got with the guitar as well as a custom shop leather strap, hang tag, sticker and cleaning cloth. No Certificate of Authenticity was with the guitar. Includes a immaculate hard case.
