This is a nippon gakki bulid and a sought after model. This was made in Japan before Yamaha moved much of their production to Taiwan. The S50A is designed and shaped like a classic classical guitar but is also internally braced to be able to accept light gauge steel strings like a parlour guitar. It is all original tuners , bridge etc and there’s no humping in the top. These featured a solid spruce top with Katsura wood back and sides , a mahogany neck ( nato ) and a rosewood fretboard ( bubinga ). The guitar has many little dings and minor scratches etc but there are no cracks and it plays very well with a straight neck and decent action - currently strung with extra light silk and steel strings like a parlour guitar
