A subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio is required in order to receive Sirius programming. Home Base:The black metal home base has a hook that holds the receiver upright. Using the supplied patch cord, you can connect the receiver to your home stereo system. The home antenna has 19.75' cable for locating the weatherproof antenna vertically or horizontally outside a window. The dimensions of the receiver on the home base are: Width=3.995", Height=4.802", Depth=3.73". Car Mount:The durable plastic adjustable car mount has a 3.416" diameter suction base to hold it firmly in place wherever you choose. The car mount can be adjusted so the front panel of the receiver is a maximum of 6-3/8" away from the mounting surface. Interchangeable Faceplates:The receiver comes with a faceplate with a chrome finish. Two additional faceplates are supplied, one metallic blue and one glossy black, allowing you to change the look of the receiver to fit your vehicle or your mood. FM Transmitter:The unit has a built-in FM transmitter which allows you to listen to Sirius radio programming through your existing car or home radio. You can select any frequency between 88.1 MHz and 107.9 MHz for transmitting the Sirius programming. Display:The CRSR-10 features a blue backlit dot matrix display with up to 6 lines of information. In the menu, you can adjust the brightness from 0 to 10 (default: 10) and the contrast from 0 to 10 (default: 6). The default screen includes the following: 3-digit channel number, Channel Name, Scrolling Song Title, Scrolling Artist Name, Satellite Signal Strength indicator, 8-character Category Name, clock, and the Band/Preset bank number. Audio Level:The audio output of the receiver can be adjusted to fine tune the audio signal level for maximum performance. Controls:In addition to the display, the front panel contains the following controls: Power, Menu, Display, Memo, Band, Presets 1-10 (preset 10 is labeled 0), Category Up/Down buttons, Select, and Channel Button (2-way rocker button). Search Modes:The CRSR-10 has four ways to search for and select music: Categories:You can use the Category button to scroll through the music and entertainment categories (Pop, Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, R&B/Urban, Electronic/Dance, Jazz/Standards, Classical, Latin & World, News, Traffic & Weather, Sports, and Talk/Entertainment). Channels:With the Channel button, you can scroll through each channel in order. Artists:From the Channel List mode, you can switch the display to show the artist names of each song/program currently playing. Song Titles:Like the artist list, the receiver can display the titles of each song currently playing. Direct Tuning:Channels can by directly accessed by entering the 3-digit channel number. Channel Presets:You can store up to 20 of your favorite channels as presets for quick access. Presets are stored in two banks, A and B, each containing 10 channel presets. Memory/Song Seek Function:This feature allows you to capture and store the current Artist and Song Title into memory. The memory has the capacity to store up to 10 Artist/Title combinations. The Song Seek function allows you to search the current incoming Sirius signal and alert you when a saved song is being played. When the receiver matches a currently playing song with a song in the memory, you have the option to select that song within 10 seconds. Lock Options:The CRSR-10 has the ability to lock the use of any channel or channels you do not want others to access without your permission. Time Features:This unit offers the following Time Features: Clock:The unit has a built-in clock which is automatically set by the Sirius Satellite data stream. During initial setup, you should select your time zone, and whether your area is subject to Daylight Saving Time (DST). Alarm Clock:You can set the receiver to turn on at a specific time. The last selected channel prior to shutdown will be present when the Alarm feature is activated. Sleep Timer:You can program the unit to shutdown after a selected period of time. The optional timer settings are 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Program Alert:When activated, this feature allows you to program the unit to switch to a selected channel at a specific time. You can select the day, time, and the channel of the desired program. Auto Shutdown:You can program the unit to automatically shut off after a one-hour period without any user intervention. A beep tone will sound to warn you that the unit is about to shut itself off. You can cancel the Auto Shutdown by pressing the Select button. The Auto Shutdown sequence will revert back to 1-hour.
