FujiGen PP Prototype Japan Only P2 Unique Japanese Bound PP Series Prototype/Custom Order

Here we have something very special from FujiGen guitars in Japan. There is no record of this guitar in existence so we can only assume it is a prototype model or maybe a one off custom order. I am guessing it is 90's build. FujiGen have called it a P2. It is from the PP series but differs significantly from any other PP guitar I have ever seen. For starters this has what looks like an alder body with a glossy sunburst finish and a gorgeous bound German carve. It does not have the rough textured finish we usually find on these PP models. A lot of work has gone in to the body at FujiGen. Alongside the German carve and binding the body has been factory recessed for the bridge. I think the absolute top of the line guitar from the PP series was the signature model for Naoko Yamano (PP3-950) but that one did not even feature a recessed body for the bridge. Another big difference between this guitar and every other PP model are the 2 x P-90's. As far as I'm aware they were not featured on any other PP guitar. It also features the classic retro FujiGen logo design on the headstock, which I love about these. Condition-wise it just has light playwear, some little bumps & scuffs, no paint chips etc. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications. Plays beautifully as you'd expect. Sounds great. The P-90s give it a bright aggressive Les Paul sound. Complete with fitted generic gigbag. All round great guitar and very rare find. You will probably never get another chance to own this one.
