Up for sale is the RIGHT pre-amp from a Roberts 990 reel to reel.
These rather rare tube pre-amps are highly sought after, to be converted into studio mic pre-amps.
This unit is untested and sold as is. I don't have a variac to power it up softly, or enough tube experience to do a proper assessment, so I'm leaving it up to the person doing the conversion.
It's in pretty good shape. It needs a good cleaning, but it's not overly dirty. No smells.
The empty tube socket is for a tube that is not needed by the pre-amp, and only in place in the left channel.
Please note that this listing is for the Right channel pre-amp only, it does not include the full reel to reel unit as seen in the last photo. It comes with the full array of tubes (untested), the original knobs, front grill, and screws, as well as the wires and connectors as pulled from the reel to reel unit.
