What's the deal with refurbished?

This instrument is stamped "2ND" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a very minor cosmetic imperfection. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered a second. We scrutinize every instrument so that you know exactly what you are getting. The manufacturer requires this to be advertised as a used second, but it comes with original box and contents and has no play wear.

Hailed by blues legend John Lee Hooker as "an out-did 335," the Sheraton has been renown for decades for its combination of superior tone and beautiful pearloid and abalone inlay. The new Epiphone Sheraton-II PRO honors Epiphone's most influential "thin-line" semi-hollowbody electric archtop, featuring critically acclaimed ProBucker™ pickups with coil-splitting and a Graphtech® NuBone XL™ nut.

This particular guitar has a blemish in the pickguard, a black marking on the very end of the fretboard, a small surface scratch in the lower f-hole, very subtle finish blemishes in the binding on each side of the neck where it meets the body, and an imperfection in the binding near the tone knob. We have included close up photos of each blemish and imperfection. Aside from what we have described, this guitar is in mint condition. How Does It Play?

The feel, the resonance, the tone. It’s all there. As with every guitar that we sell, we have given this a professional setup and it is ready to play. The neck is straight and the action is low without buzz.

A new B-stock Epiphone hardshell case can be added to US orders for $75 or to international orders for $95. It will have a scuff or cosmetic imperfection or two, but it will be 100% sound with all working latches, hinges, etc.
