Ok, this is going to be a difficult one...but I think it is time to let it go. You'll understand why if you read through the description.

The story behind this guitar

After we lost our son very abrupt and with literally no warnings, I started making guitars as kind of a self-therapeutic way to keep myself busy and work through the pain it had caused me. Building a guitar in his honour was something that really helped me to move on. But in order to let fully go of things, you have to let them go, which I decided is the time now. This guitar's design is obviously very inspired by a certain Fender model, which was limited to 83 pieces and is now extremely expensive on the used market, if you can find it.

Light and super resonant alder body

Like all the bodies I purchase, this one is made from seasoned and really dried alder wood, made and shaped in Italy. It's really loud acoustically and has an amazing sustain. Total weight is at 3.4 kilos.

21-fret maple neck with rosewood board:

The neck has a classic round C shape and comes with 6150 frets, which are a bit bigger and allow for great playability. The neck is connected to the body via Nec-Tite inlets & screws, which not only increase overall sustain, but also allow you to unscrew and assemble body and neck as many times as you want without the holes starting to worn out. Fretboard radius is 9.5". Important notice: I made a little mistake with the nut slots, which is why I had to refill two of them and file again. Back of the headstock has my son's name written on it.

Fender Deluxe Gold Tuners: Since it's almost impossible to find the Schaller tuners featured on the original (and if you find them, they're like 500 bucks), I went with similar tuners from Fender with pearloid buttons and aged them. Looks the same from the front in the end and the tuners are really smooth.

GOTOH Vintage Trem Gold with steel block:

For me the best sounding trem due to the bent saddles and steel block. This is set up to be a fixed bridge, just like the original.

Q-Pickups A5 Hot Alnico Singlecoil Set (SRV-inspired): Q-Pickups is a small 1-man operation out of Croatia, who makes amazing and faithful recreations of rare, unique or highly sought-after pickups. The A5 Hot Alnico set is inspired by some of the iconic Strat sounds that SRV was famous for. They produce a slightly more mid-focused sound that will cut through every band context easily. Bridge pickup has a slight hotter output and doesn't sound too trebly when used with lots of gain. The middle pickup is RWRP for noiseless positions 2 & 4.

CTS 24mm Audio Potentiometers: Being a bit more creative this time around, the guitar comes with Master Volume, Master Tone and a Blender pot instead of the second tone control. This will always add the opposite side pickup to the mix, when fully turned down (for a Telecaster kind of tone) and blend it out again, when turned up to 10. This also allows to use all 3 pickups, when playing in positions 2 or 4.

5-way Fender Lever Switch

The guitar is a great balance between vintage and modern and really feels and sound amazing. I’ve only played it in my home studio and it has also gotten around 30 hours of ToneRite vibration treatment to burn it in. It's currently set up with 011-049 D'Addario strings with a low-as-possible string action.
