Audient ASP8024 HE 2017 - Heritage Edition

The ASP8024 HE 36 channel premium recording and mixing console was designed by analogue “guru” David Dearden. The console includes a producers pay section in the middle of the console, perfect placement for any automation controllers that you might have. The back of the producers patch bay includes a cable tidy, where the top can be unscrewed and cables put through there. The Console comes with an integrated on-board patchbay for the 36 console – constructed of high-quality Neutrik Bantam TT connectors. Our thoughtfully designed patchbay provides 144 user configurable points for integration of outboard, credenza racks or live room tie lines. These can be through-wired or half-normalled internally if required.

Each of the input channels features Audient’s impressive Class A preamp and 4 band EQ – a combination so versatile that many ASP8024 equipped studios no longer find the need for outboard preamps and EQ. The console features 24 bus routing, 12 aux's, 2 dedicated cue sends, 4 stereo returns, SSL Style stereo bus compressor and a comprehensive monitor section.

The console is from a private studio, original owner, the mixer is in full working order and is in very nice condition. There are a couple of signs of wear is on the front wooden rest, where the VESA mount is and in the master section. The console. Was serviced by GJC and funkyjunk in October 2023. The console comes with a 3u Power supply.

The console is pickup only and will require several people to lift the item into a van as this is a heavy item with 300+kg and 330cm long, 110cm deep. The console is currently housed in FunkyJunks warehouse workshop in London so collection would be from there. If you don’t have a van or vehicle to move they have a console moving partner they can put you in touch with.

Each ASP8024-Heritage Edition console is built to order and lovingly constructed in our Hampshire factory by a skilled team who’ve hand-assembled these consoles for over 20 years.

Based upon two consoles from David’s first job in 1967 at the now legendary Advision Studios in London, RETRO IRON adds punch and ‘vibe’ to the consoles mix output. Based on technology from the 80s and 90s the ASP8024’s mix bus compressor is known for adding a rock and roll dynamic to your mix. Often likened to classic analogue boards, the ASP8024’s mix bus compressor provides that classic VCA ‘glue’ that will give your mix that ‘sounds like a record’ feeling. With improved circuitry and a slick new gain reduction VU meter for improved visual feedback (if you’ve used the ‘gentle needle bounce glue trick’ before, you’ll know exactly what we mean) it will fast become one of the most useful tools in your arsenal!
