Nikko TRM-800 Integrated Amp

Vintage Nikko TRM-800 integrated amp. Brushed aluminum faceplate with walnut finished cabinet. I bought this as a back-up to another TRM-800 that i use almost daily. However, after years of use with no issues I no longer feel the need to have an extra unit so I'm putting this up for sale.

Cosmetically in good but not perfect shape. There are several small veneer chips, all are pictured. There are several faint scrapes and a couple nicks along the top edge of the faceplate. Please pay attention to the up close photos of this area. The marks are small and faint and therefore difficult to photograph.

The aluminum part of the on/off switch has broken off but is still useable and functions as normal.

The power cord has a section covered in electrical tape. I never removed the tape to investigate. The cord has and continues to work as it should.

The unit is fully functional with the exception of the balance control. The balance control will cut out at certain parts of its range. Though it partially functions I would not recommend this unit to anyone that needs a functional balance control.

The amp is rated 65wpc @ 8ohm and 90wpc @ 4ohm. Unlike may vintage amps this one can play into 4ohm without getting stressed. I have used this amp with my 4ohm Totem Arros for years.

The preamp and amp sections can be separated.

There are two phono sections, one of which has selectable impedance for MC cartridges.
