1982 Squier JV Strat quartersawn (!) maple neck. Frets are playable but relatively low so they won't take another level and the neck will eventually need to be refretted. Besides the chipping at the end of the fretboard, this neck only shows minor playwear for it's age.
Nice flame figuring on the back combined with quartersawn cut makes this a custom shop-grade neck that's 40 years old. Fretboard edges are rolled off much like vintage Strats tend to have. Feature that current custom shop production can't get right. Has a solid loud ring on tap. Truss rod works as expected.
