A vintage 1986 ProCo Rat. This is the small box version with the LM308 chip. Fully functioning, but does show some play wear & the middle control knob is a replacement.
The ProCo RAT is a fantastic distortion pedal with a wide range of sounds. It has a simple interface, but doesn't lack in tonal range one bit. Three knobs control the RAT - Distortion, Filter, and Volume - letting you go from a subtle crunch to a searing behemoth of distorted goodness. It's capable of a wide variety of tones and is sure to satisfy a wide variety of players. If you're after a saturated, heavily distorted sound, the RAT will deliver, but you can get a wide variety of tones out of it. If you're after a distortion with a wide range of tones, then go with the RAT from ProCo.
