Soldano Surf Box

Soldano Surf Box reverb tank and tremolo/vibrato. Excellent condition. Considered by many the holy grail of reverb. Only 100 made; becoming increasingly rare. Recent online listings seen as high as $10,000. Number 23/100. Signed by Mike Soldano. I am a huge sports fan, and my absolute favorite athlete of all sports is Michael Jordan so I always appreciated the fact it was the only one in the world that was 23/100. While the reverb is amazing, the tremolo/vibrato are as good as it gets. The front guitar input can feedback at high levels but playing through the rear input/output works perfectly.

The three effects that are found in this unit are arguably the most crucial and important effects for a guitar player, period. And, this Soldano Surf Box is arguably the best example of all three of these effects you can find anywhere. The Reverb is drippy, springy, cavernous, and naturally beautiful. It takes the quintessential Fender reverb and injects it with life and the pinnacle of build quality.

Not to be overshadowed by the Reverb are the tremolo/vibrato circuit. The Vibrato circuit is based on the Fender Brownface Showman vibrato circuit. The Tremolo is based on blackface era LDR (light-dependent resistor) tremolo circuit as opposed to the neon-bulb.

Costing more than an actual Soldano amplifier when it was released, the Surf Box has become the stuff of legend. Housed inside this fabled box are Soldano's takes on Fender's brownface vibrato circuit and blackface tremolo. The other side of the effect is an authentic Fender reverb circuit. Only 100 were ever produced and specimens command astonishing sums in the used marketplace. The amount of these that are in perfect condition like this one are becoming dangerously rare.

This is an amazing piece of equiptment for any musician to have. And the most special thing about this perticular item is it's value is only increasing. That's what makes it such a great item for anyone to own. Due to the rare nature of this item and the special tones it creates it will guarantee to appreciate every year that you own it. It's value will only go up rather than depreciate, that to me makes it feel much more like a great investment even for simply a collector.
