A Dolceola is a musical instrument resembling a miniature piano, but which is in fact a zither with a keyboard. It is used in traditional holy blues and has an unusual, angelic, music-box sound. Dolceolas were made by the Toledo Symphony Company from 1903 to 1907. Some say that there are less than a hundred known dolceolas out today. In 2021 Bolder Sounds has made a plugin out of this instrument for Kontakt because of their amazing sound and the difficulty to get one in this time. They claim in their website: "we understand there are only about 20 Dolceolas in circulation today".

I have this one in Lima, Peru. It is very well preserved considering its age. There is too little information about them online and in most of the pictures or videos I found they usually look in pretty bad shape. This is not the case. The wood have some openings on the back/bottom area so surely it need some maintenance to have it and its best, but already sounds amazing. Its missing 3 strings that are easily replaceable by zither strings.

If you are really interested, I can arrange shipping to your country.

I'm also open to offers.

Any questions welcome.
