Hamer Californian/Centaura Hybrid 1991 Teal

Here's an interesting guitar. I acquired it from a kid who said his dad was a big 80's shredder, and this was one of his main guitars. It's a 1991 Hamer USA Centaura neck, with a mahogany Hamer Californian body. It's been refinished in vintage nitrocellulose laser Teal blue. Not the most perfect job, there's some pitting and swirl marks, and some finish cracks around the neckplate area, but it's a high gloss finish. See attached pics. It's got an upgraded brand-new Schaller Made In Germany Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. Seymour Duncan Trembucker in the bridge, and Dimarzio Chopper in the neck position. Schaller locking strap buttons included. It's a glorious 100% shred machine, built for performance and stability. The volume control and 3 way switch don't look to be original, but it's wired up nicely. No tremolo cavity cover, original control cavity cover installed. Original Hamer tuners on the neck. Some minor fret wear on the frets, but slick and comfortable action up and down the neck. The neck heel has been sanded, most likely to get a better fit with the body. The back of the neck has a few small scratches that could be buffed out, so the original finish on it has been left intact. 4 latch hard case included. A rare and intriguing find, there are not many Hamer guitars from the glory days of the late 80's-early 90's around anymore.
