Beautiful Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet for sale. S/n 273XXX makes this a nice 1985 vintage horn, but it looks far newer: silver plating (a $512 upgrade from the more common nickel plate) is near perfect, and purposefully left unpolished because I love that beautiful, even patina. Wood has an exceptional, dense grain with no chips, cracks or repairs. Just bore oiled, and had Ferree’s best pads installed: premium cork on the upper, and B17 de’Jur on the lower. Plays with a balanced tone across all registers, and crisp feel to the keywork. Includes a Vandoren 5RV mouthpiece, Buffet cap, and Buffet ligature. Comes in the slimline pouchette case in excellent condition, with the 160th Anniversary sticker and a nice, zippered case cover. Currently sells at WWBW for $4,427, so save more than $2,500, get one of the nicest you’ll find on the used market, and put the savings toward your A clarinet or a couple tanks of gas!
