Howdy from Texas! ðŸ¤
Got another cool one that Kurt/Nirvana fans will love! I was traded this Warmoth Jagstang body in exchange for some refin work and wanted to put together something cool and unique. I love that Warmoth designed their version of the Jagstang with body contours but mostly kept the shape true to the originals, and I custom shaped the pickguard on this one to better follow the somewhat unique body curves. The stock warmoth guards typically look a bit wonky, so i found mine to be a big visual improvement, particularly on the treble horn, even if still not perfect. Thats kind of the appeal of the jagstang isnt it? Its a kind of perfectly imperfect design that was exactly what one person wanted to see. Made from doodles and cut up photographs by a person with a vision, its something im sure most of us have a soft spot for, even if some people call these beauties "hideous." (theyre wrong)
Full details/specs below.
SPECS/UPGRADES:
- Warmoth Jagstang Body sprayed in Teal Green Metallic nitrocellulose lacquer with finish checking / closet queen relic job.
- Fender Modern Player Jaguar neck - Maple/Rosewood, fingerboard edges rolled, frets leveled and polished, pearloid inlays aged, fretboard oiled+conditioned+relic waxed for that oily, smooth vintage feel and lasting dark hue. Back of neck finish lightly sanded with 1500 grit to remove "sticky" feel of high gloss finish
- Matching headstock
- Eric Custom Alnico V Mustang bridge pickup - Alnico V, flat polepieces, 6.6K resistance, cloth wire
- Lace Sensor Gold neck pickup, standard mustang wiring
- Custom hand-shaped mint green pickguard designed to better fit body curves which are unique to this particular warmoth model

- Fender Mustang Dynamic Vibrato, setup for use while remaining in tune
- Aged white plastics, witch hat knobs, Fender neck plate, strap buttons and string tree
- Internal cavities shielded for maximum hum reduction
- Fresh setup with Daddario 11-48 strings. Nice low comfy action, tremolo set-up, intonated in E standard (personalized setup available if purchased at full asking price)
- Tasteful relic job complete with lightly aged metal parts, aged clear nitro topcoat, finish checking etc.
- Nice and light at 7.1 lbs
