The Alternate Dimension Fat Jazzmaster set is noticeably better than my original Fat Jazzmaster set: slightly fatter tone and more responsive string attack. The original idea was to open up the bobbin to fit more turns of a thicker wire gauge — this fattens up the tone because there’s more copper wire. With the Alternate Dimension Fat Jazzmaster pickups, I use twelve magnets in the core of the coil which pushes the coil out a little wider for a bigger aperture (length of vibrating string sensed by the coil) compared to my original Fat Jazzmaster pickups. The extra magnets (two magnets per string) make the pickups more responsive and lively.

Offset Fuzz Circuit — Electric Squid designed this fuzz specifically for Stonewall Pickups to replace the Jazzmaster rhythm circuit. The Offset Fuzz Circuit has a volume control and gain control and yes, it does require a battery. The Offset Fuzz Circuit is not sold separately.

All Jazzmaster pickups come stock with a flat magnet stagger.

This pickguard is made to only fit Fender Jazzmasters; we don’t have a source for anodized pickguards for Squier Jazzmasters. If you would like to have your Squier pickguard wired up, you can ship it to us and we’ll make a custom listing for you. Just message me beforehand.

All Stonewall Pickups are hand-wound (scatter-wound). When a coil is machine-wound, each turn of the wire lies directly next to the previous turn. This causes a loss of treble frequencies. If you've never owned hand-wound pickups, you are in for a treat: the clarity of tone and frequencies really comes through. Very open sounding with great string definition.

All Stonewall Pickups are vacuum wax potted to prevent microphonics. If you would prefer your pickups to not be potted (noisy but my favorite for recording), be sure to mention it when we email you regarding your pickup options.
