From the original Sakae Rhythm factory in Osaka, Japan, this special drum was built in 2014 and has NEVER BEEN PLAYED! Only taken out of the box for photos and then returned to its original factory packaging.
Sakae was the OEM manufacturer for Yamaha's top professional line of drums for decades, later launching their own brand of drums in 2008. Sadly, economic hardships forced Sakae to shut down in 2018. The brand has been relaunched under new ownership, but the days of Sakae building the finest instruments in the industry are forever in the past.
This is a rare 14" x 6" concert snare drum with a 10-lug antique bubinga shell. It features very thin heads, special Sakae-made concert snare wires, and one of the smoothest snare strainers you'll ever experience.
