2015 Carol-Ann OD-2R head in mint condition. This OD2R has the optional tube-buffered effects loop. This is a handwired USA all-tube boutique amplifier that is built to last ages. There are no visual imperfections. The amp performs flawlessly and includes the footswitch, footswitch cable, and power chord.

Engineered for recording, the OD2r offers extremely low noise in a twin channel amp design. Like the larger OD2, this amp is designed to be one of the most versatile amps on the market today. The clean channel is warm and sonically rich while the harmonic balance of the overdrive channel is simply incredible. The overdrive channel has the ability to go from slight crunch, all the way up to a sweetly compressed high gain with remarkable response and separation of notes throughout the gain ranges and settings. This gives a three dimensional feel to this amp that is rarely experienced through standard amp designs. At 18/30 watts the OD2r is at home in the studio or has enough power to handle small to medium sized gigs as well.

OVERVIEW

Welcome to pure 'recording' tone heaven! The OD2r amplifiers offer a superb extremely low noise twin channel all-tube 18W/30W amplifier design specifically engineered for recording. This amplifier is also excellent for small to medium sized gigs where no effects loop is needed. Like all our other models this amplifier is hand built using a no compromise approach.

Like the larger OD-2, these amplifiers are one of the most sonically versatile available on the market today and are happy producing every possible style of music from Country to Metal !! The clean channel features the warmest tones available with a beautiful percussive attack. The Overdrive Channel is simply incredible with a harmonic balance that gives the amplifier a three dimensional feel, rarely experienced with any standard design. The amount of overdrive is variable from slight crunch to all out sweetly compressed high gain tone. Note separation and response remain true throughout the full range of gain settings. The OD2r is cathode biased and requires no bias adjustments when changing tubes. There is a switch between the power tubes that switches the power stage between 6L6GC and 6V6 power tube operation.
