1946 Leedy 15x12 Marching / Field snare drum

Maple shell with honey lacquer finish. Wire-wound silk snares, and Leedy's gorgeous deco lugs.

Date stamp inside 4605 (May 1946).

Very good condition, and the drum is fully functional / playable. Under 3 of its 16 lugs, a half-century of use has resulted in minor cracks in the outer ply only emanating from lug-screw holes. (See final photo for example.) That is why I've put a bargain price on this otherwise excellent example of top-notch work of the era.
