About This Listing

We are extremely pleased to welcome Loota Percussion to Drumazon! Loota is the brainchild of highly regarded professional drummer and percussionist Mika Lilja. Mika designed the original Loota drum kit for his own personal requirements after falling in love with the Cajon but finding the playing position uncomfortable and restrictive. Soon everyone wanted to know where they could get one too!  Mika put the Loota kit in to production, since then the company has gone from strength to strength.

Loota kits are made in Finland and Estonia, they insist on the highest quality materials which are built by their specialist team. Not only do they look great, they sound great acoustically, feel great to play and also mic up incredibly too! The applications for the kit knows no bounds, they are extremely popular where volume is an issue but they have also advanced the sound of the Cajon in to a fully fledged drum kit that can be approached in a similar way to playing a standard acoustic kit. Owners are even using them in the studio, under mics for larger gigs and as part of larger acoustic set ups for a new & different tonal flavour.

The Loota Professional series is 100% Finnish birch and consists of a bass drum, a snare drum, a 10" Istanbul Xist Splash cymbal and Loota's very own Crash Stack which allows you play in a similar way to Hi-Hats. Loota can be played with the Rohema poly brush XL which are included in the package. The bass drum is played with the specially designed Loota pedal and the whole kit fits on the Loota Percussion Carpet which is also included.

Playing a Loota is very similar to playing a standard drum kit, the sound of the kit is quieter than with a standard drum set but the fun and playing approach for the drummer is not compromised. Ideally Loota is suited for places where drummers need to play with lighter touch and in good balance with other acoustic instruments. This could be perfect for smaller venues and will allow drummers to play in duos and trios without the need to compromise their playing style.

Completely Portable

The bass drum pedal and cajon brushes fit into the Loota bass drum. You can turn the snare drum on the top of the bass drum, and the whole set can be packed into the Loota backpack (supplied seperately). This makes it easy to carry the whole drum kit comfortably anywhere without the need for multiple trips. The backpack is an optional extra.
