Grace Design M903 Reference Headphone Amplifier / DAC / Monitor Controller. Absolutely stunning DA conversion, drives high impedance headphones with ease, balanced volume control even down to very low levels. I have been running it as a monitor DAC on S/PDIF from an Apollo 8 and it destroys the UAD.
S/PDIF, Toslink, AES, and all analog inputs and outputs work perfectly, as do all front panel controls, but the USB function is not working. I had assumed that it was a compatibility issue with my newer Mac, the computer sees the Grace and it shows up in the system prefs as "Grace M903" but the USB indicator does not light on the unit, nor do the sample rate indicators, nor is there audio present. Tried it on a Windows 10 machine and experienced the exact same behaviour. Contacted Grace and they said it's likely $100 to repair/replace the USB card.
Otherwise it works perfectly and since many pros won't use the USB function, as I didn't, I figured I'd move it along at a lower price. It's no longer needed with my new setup.
