Here we have a National/Valco-made Supro 60 lap steel dating to 1937 judging by its serial number. It's a very simple instrument and has a single pickup with a blade-style pole and lone volume control. It's a warm, sweet-sounding pickup and very low-output. It sounds excellent through modern amps. It's a very relaxed, Hawaiian-centric tone, for sure.It had the same cool "frosted duco"-looking finish (which has faded through time) that National/Valco used on their metal-bodied resonator guitars at the time as well. This amp works as it should but does show wear from 85 years of use.
