Up for sale or possible trade is beautiful Hippner Dabema Acoustic Steel String Guitar Auditorium - OM with a Fishman Sonitone pickup installed & a hardshell case.

Offered is a Hippner Dabema OM Acoustic Guitar with hardshell case. Boutique built by luthier Darren Hippner in 2020. If you're looking at this, then you know that Hippner instruments are the real deal, and have occasionally sold thru connoisseur shops like Dream Guitars for $3~5K+. This one features a solid Sitka Spruce top with Dabema back and sides, exotic snakewood board and trim, MOP inlays, Brazilian Rosewood faceplates, bone nut and saddle, ebony pins, and top of the line Waverly tuners. The tone is bold, clear, and articulate - a fingerstyle player's dream. This was from a small batch of  assorted tonewood OM acoustics that Hippner built during the 2020 lockdowns. Handcrafted USA quality throughout, with a few light finish blemishes as can be expected with artisanal builds. Please review all photos carefully as they're an integral part of the item description. The guitar has just been professionally set up with a fret level, new set of Elixir 80/20 Nanoweb 12-to-53-gauge strings installed. Saddle lowered & nut grooves filed to the perfect depth for ease of playability across the neck. The action is nice and low and it plays great with no buzzing or issues. View pics for more details. It has also just had a brand-new Fishman Sonitone installed with volume & tone controls mounted within fingers reach just inside the soundhole for easy access. This guitar plays and sounds great and is quite remarkable plugged in!

I play mostly fingerstyle, lots of soft touches and textures, and this thing performs incredibly. It is so loud and articulate that it really gives presence to the softest of touches. None of this would matter without the right tone, and the tone on Darren's guitars across the board are just great!

Darren's thoughts when I asked him to compare this wood and it's tone to my Walnut Breedlove guitar:

Visually it looks like a cross of teak and oak to me with some of the visual characteristics of Koa, its the 1st time I've tried it, it has great potential and looks beautiful. It has nice figure too. It has a shimmer/flame similar to Koa. It grows in Africa . It's harder than walnut so it could possibly beat out the Breedlove in the tonal color range. The frequency response is more metallic, enhancing potential sparkle and chime yet still rich in the lower frequencies giving it a very well balanced tonal spectrum.
