Greco EG-1000C Super Real 1981 Les Paul Custom with Dry Z Pickups
Flagship model from Greco's Super Real series. Made in Japan 1981. Based on the 1968 LP Custom with a solid mahogany body, maple top and Ebony fretboard with real MOP inlays. The guitar has a lacquer finish and an original set of highly sought-after Dry Z pickups (stock). All original parts except for new 500k pots & PIO caps.
Specifications
Body: Old-growth Mahogany.
Neck: Old-growth Mahogany with Ebony fretboard and real MOP inlays. 'Super Real' engraved truss-rod cover. Chunky 59 style neck.
Pickups: Original Maxon Dry Z PAF-style pickups.
Electronics: New 500k pots (metric) & PIO caps. The wiring was redone to look like the original, keeping the rubber covers and paper insulators. 50's wiring to retain highs when turned down. Original cavity shielding. Two original pots will be included with the sale.
Hardware: All original hardware incl. Grover 'Waffleback' tuners. Pictured with Faber ABR-1 bridge and Faber aluminum tailpiece. The original Greco gold ABR-1 bridge and tailpiece will be installed prior to sale.
Finish: Lacquer. Classic 'Black Beauty' finish. The finish has a beautiful tint to it from natural aging.
Condition: In very good condition overall. Intonation is good with low string height, truss rod works. Some wear and tear, small blemishes etc. There is a chip in the headstock. Some corrosion to hardware.
Case: Hard case
Will be packaged in a
heavy shipping box with lots of packaging materials for safe int. shipping.
