The Ibanez HD1500 was a leading rack mount effects unit for 90's guitarists with delay and harmony effects. This HD1500 comes complete with the PC40 Preset foot controller, 20ft cable, and original owners manual.
The Ibanez HD1500, like many vintage units with average digital specs (by today's standards) offers some great warm tones. The HD1500 produces a great polyphonic pitch shift (+/- 1300 semitones) and various delay/chorus effects (0 – 504 ms w/modulation etc.). Low delay time settings can give some really great chorus/flanging/doubling tones.
The HD1500 also features an effects loop placed in its feedback path. This means that one can add other effects within this units signal chain.
The included PC40 foot controller is mandatory for live playing with the HD1500. It allows you to pre-set (3) harmony effects and switch between them, the delay, or bypass. For example set a +1200 for Trevor Rabin style high octave solos, a low octave -1200, and maybe a 7th or 5th, and easily switch between the 3 harmony presets.
The unit is in good shape for its age and works fine. The foot controller has a couple of wear spots as shown in the photos. The 20 foot cable is not the original cable. The connectors are original but the cable was professionally replaced. The unit came out of a larger custom wired effects rig years ago. Any questions, please ask.
