EL Degas 1970's P Bass Copy MIJ Japan (Ibanez Greco)
Wonderful Example of the Famed Canadian El Degas brand of instruments!
Being in Canada, we see quite a few El Degas Guitars and Basses come thru our store... My first guitar was an early 80's MIJ El Degas Wine Red Les Paul Copy, set neck... I wish I still had that one (!)
This P-Bass copy is another winner from the El Degas company (long defunct).
Made in Japan, features a Precision style solid body with a bolt on Maple neck / Rowsewood Fingerboard. Original pickup is more of a Tele style pickup and sounds great!! Three tone sunburst finish, 2 ply white/black pickgaurd.
The knobs are not original, the pickguard has been broken at the top mount jack (fairly common), truss rod cover is missing and there use to be a thumb rest, pick up cover and bridge cover - all gone.
Original two brass saddle bridge.
Overall this is in good condition, with regular wear/tear dings you would expect from a 30 + year old bass that's been played. Dings and light chips around the body and corner of the headstock. Most dings are along the sides/bottom of the body.
This bass is wonderful!! It's a great playing and sounding bass, killer MIJ P Bass for not too much money!!
Please ask us any/all questions, if you would like more detailed photos.
