Extremely early model with with the “snake head” peghead that in 1928 no longer continued to include the scripted “THE” above the” Gibson” further offering authenticity as this amazing guitar being a 1927 very early model.
The top has been over sprayed to in some way soften the the playing wear on the top which , on the positive side, is in part why this instrument has such a remarkable BIG SOUND!
Comes with the original top of the line tuning pegs and a great “V” shaped neck .
The guitar has been restored by by luthier and proprietor Tom Dorwood of the Halifax Folklore centre having just celebrated 50 years in business in the same building!!
