About This Listing

EV 636 omni directional microphone. Rare model made for the Ampex corporation in the late 50s. This was EV's top of the line model at the time, more expensive than even the V1 and V2 ribbon mics. I have verified this with EV sales brochures. Low serial # 1625. Works fine with a rich classic sound, this mic like the 660 and 635 has been a sleeper for a long time. Art deco space ship plastic on screen in perfect shape. There is damage to the threading on the amphenol connector as illustrated in photos. Shipped well packaged and insured.
