About This Listing

For your viewing pleasure today is this 1996 Made in Japan(MIJ) Fender FotoFlame Tri Color Sunburst 50th Anniversary Telecaster in very good player grade condition w Fender gig bag, (sorry folks, bought this without any type of hard case). She's in overall very good, player grade condition, exhibiting 25 years of natural relic'ing, showing multiple bruises, scuffs, paint chips, dings, etc that come from 1000's of hours of loving play wear, NOT artificial distressing, which quite personally, in our opinion, is very uncool. Personally, this is the condition that we love to find when searching for instruments, as this shows how much someone thought of, loved & played this particular instrument. And, she's now at a new REDUCED PRICE!

ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION

All of our instruments sold are in complete, working condition. This instrument was professionally inspected, repaired if necessary & given a pro set-up by one of our favorite luthiers/guitarist/composer/teacher & fantastic all around human being as well as the co-founder of April Mae & The Junebugs, Dave "Catfish" Fecca of Dave Fecca Guitar Repair located in Moorestown, NJ...so this axe is ready to rip!

CONDITION:
Instrument is in very good player grade condition, in our opinion. Our luthier gave this a full pro set-up, including polishing the fretboard and oiling the tuners. He cleaned all electronics, adjusted the neck & action, and set the intonation. He replaced a missing white tip for the pickup selector but everything else is all original.

Cosmetically, the guitar has some assorted dings along the body and edges of the guitar as well as  some bubbling of the finish on the sides and back of the body. That being said, these cosmetic imperfections do not affect the playability of the instrument whatsoever.
Zipper for pocket on the front of the gig bag is not functional, but that may be able to be fixed. Please see the attached photos for specific, current state of condition.

DIMENSIONS/SPECS:
Body is 38 1/2" long x 12 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" deep; scale length is 24 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide at the 1st fret, 2" wide at the 12th fret, & 2 1/8" wide at the 17th fret.

Nut measures 1 and 5/8" wide.

Guitar weighs in at 7lbs, 6 1/2 oz.

NOTES:
Although it's difficult to see, the rear of the neck features McDonalds' iconic "Hamburglar" design, which a Fender Fuji-Gen employee infamously designed into his FotoFlame veneer(?) work on the rear neck skin on some of these instruments. We have included some additional pix of this cool little detail.
This instrument is ready to play in any capacity the player wishes. This instrument would give a great deal of pleasure to a collector, a player, or a professional.

**SPECIAL NOTE: It is with a very heavy heart that we wish to share the news of the recent passing on
Dec 6, 2020, of our almost 12 year old red & white beagle, our beloved Ace. He was our mascot and namesake of this shop on Reverb.com. He gave us the initial inspiration to sign up with Reverb.com, primarily due to the name that we chose to use on this fantastic website. He was also the chief of security & official greeter for our bricks & mortar shop, always ready to engage with the customers; tail wagging, always happy & forever on the lookout for any ingestible treats that our customers wished to share with him as well as a nice butt or belly rub.
Ace is, and will continue to be, very sorely missed by all who knew him. Our shop will never be the same without his presence. But, his intense spirit and joie de vivre lives on, through our loving memories of him and also via this wonderful platform online. Love the heck out of ya, Acie!!

Sadly, Ellis

TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS:
If you are contemplating making us an offer on this or any of our other varied listings, please be fully prepared to follow through, pay for your item and consummate the deal if your offer is accepted by us. We have recently received fair offers from buyers with little or even zero feedback or inexperience on this selling platform, and they have either reneged on their commitment to purchase, or these "buyers" never paid for their purchases. Man, that's a surefire way to really piss off the boss!  Obviously, we would rather this never happen again, but sometimes it will occur no matter what our wishes are. In closing, thank y'all for reading to this point and for your patience and understanding as well. And, in the immortal lyrics from an early Steve Miller Band tune, “You gotta keep on keepin on”!
